If you notice symptoms of your transmission becoming jerky and unresponsive, chances are your transmission is starting to wear out.

Leave the problem unresolved for too long at it can lead to total transmission failure. Which is very costly to replace, and just not worth the headache.

So in order to avoid that issue, you’ll want to do preventative maintenance as soon as you notice these problem occur.

Even if you’re not experiencing symptoms yet, it’s wise to look at your service schedule in your owners manual. You’ll want to change fluids when time is due. Check out the video below to learn more.

Get Your Tools On a Budget

Change out your transmission fluid by draining and filling it. Do this multiple times, spaced out within 2-3 months. The drain and fill method is better than using the flushing machines dealerships / quick lube shops use.

Their flushing machines contain old transmission fluid from other previous vehicles. Using those machines will deposit other types of vehicle fluid into your transmission; not good for many vehicles.

Draining and filling your transmission is the better option for optimal transmission performance.
